Actor James Woods also had to evacuate his home in the nearby area.

All residents of  Pacific Palisades have been told to leave the area immediately.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency as the fires have burned more than 2,900 acres , including multiple homes.

Traffic jams became a serious issue with so many trying to evacuate in a hurry, causing them to abandon their vehicles. This meant that the fire department struggled to get through and had to bulldoze the cars in order to drive to the fire zone.

Actor Steven Guttenberg went on KTLA news asking that people leave their keys so that the cars can be moved by emergency services: “We really need people to move their cars,” he said on the broadcast. “So if you leave your car behind, leave the key in there so a guy like me can move your car so that these fire trucks can get up there.”

“It’s really, really important,”.
