Model Gracie Bon Complains About Airplane Seats Being Too Small For Her Butt

Traveling by air is rarely a comfortable experience, given the close quarters with strangers and limited leg space.

For Gracie, however, the challenge is finding a seat that can accommodate her unique physique.

Gracie, 26, who has amassed a following of 4.5 million on Instagram, largely due to her famous bottom, took to the social media platform to express her frustrations.

She pointed out that even the luxury of flying first class doesn’t alleviate her struggle, as standard airplane seats are not designed for someone with her body type.

In her Instagram post, Gracie shared a video of herself walking to the boarding gate and then trying to fit into a wide airplane seat.

She demonstrated using a seatbelt extender, which was noticeably loose around her small waist, to secure herself.

She addressed her followers, saying: “Airplanes should have bigger seats. So today I had a flight and even if I was flying in first class I couldn’t fit on the airplane seat.”

“So this is a petition for all the airlines so big girls like me fly. It’s not my fault to have an a** this big. Please just make them bigger!”

While her post received a flood of comments, not all responses were empathetic.

Some followers expressed their skepticism regarding her body modifications, with one commenting: “Who elses fault is it? No one forced you to get the surgery,”

Another added: “You get them surgeries by accident?” A suggestion from another follower was, “Buy two seats instead of one, clearly you’ve got plenty of money to afford them,”

Someone else pointed out: “You did that to yourself honey! Nobody forced you to do this.”

Interestingly, a commenter who identified as a flight attendant noted that Gracie was not wearing her seatbelt correctly, stating: “Coming from a flight attendant your seatbelt goes around your waist not your thighs…so does she really need a seatbelt extension? No.”

“A wider seat yes.. but not a seat belt extension. – Flight attendant with hips…”

Another follower, who also experiences discomfort during travel due to their body shape, sympathized with Gracie: “Agreed. I definitely need a larger seat and a seatbelt that doesn’t have such a hard buckle. Could they throw in a tray that fits over big boobs?”

Others chimed in with supportive comments like, “Let’s start a rebellion!!!! This is unjust and unfair!!”,

“Airplane’s definitely need to make bigger and more comfortable seats,” and: “I’m with ya plane seats way too small!”

Gracie’s post highlights a broader discussion about the need for more inclusive and accommodating designs in public spaces, including airplanes.

After all, a more spacious seat would likely be a welcome change for travelers of all sizes.
